Rumors about iWatch have been doing rounds for years but as Apple getting close to launch iPhone 6 the iWatch buzz is getting bigger too. Many well known tipsters have been posting leaks about the size, display and features of iWatch and now a new report suggest that Apple’s smartwatch will come in three variants.
According to China’s Economic Daily News the upcoming iWatch will come in two display sizes of 1.6 inches and 1.8 inches. It also suggests that Apple will bring in scratch resistance Sapphire display to one variant of iWatch while other two variant will feature Gorilla Glass display.
It notable that both 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch version of next iPhone will suppose to feature Sapphire display and it make sense that Apple would like to offer the same feature in iWatch.
Sapphire, being one of the toughest gemstone will provide shack free, scratch free display without adding extra pounds on the screen. The Cupertino based electronics giant has already set a huge Sapphire factory in Arizona which has contributed the displays in upcoming Apple devices.
Apple’s iWatch is supposed to be health and fitness oriented wearable that will work with new Health Kit and Health Apps to work as fitness tool for users. It is said to have bio-metric features that will allow you to collect your health data and share directly with your doctor and healthcare provider.
As per Apple’s tradition we should see the new lineup in the mid September 2014 this year. But going by Tim Cook’s recent letter to employees and hints to media personal we believe Apple will have a bunch of surprises in the kitty this year.
