Apple unveiled its lightweight iPad called iPad Air and new iPad mini 2 in a press conference at San Francisco. The old iPad has shaded quite a lot of weight to turn into super slim iPad Air that weighs only one pound. Like you expect the thinner tablet remains firm and solid to survive daily wear and tear. Both new tablets are faster and smarter with latest software installed in the heart of them.
Apple has cut down the size of various hard wares to achieve this lightweight iPad Air that is going to make tablet experience even better. Every idea of the company is seem to revolve around Steve Jobs philosophy of making gadgets which are easy to handle with one hand. Although, with 9.7 inch display screen iPad Air might not be ideal for one hand but its light feel will make you forget that you are holding a tablet.
However, the picture resolutions in new iPad remain the same as their predecessor’s though iPad mini gets the boost of Retina display. The new software adds more depth to the picture and give you more density with same 2048X1536 resolution. It’s a small change but when you already have better picture quality than an HGTV you have no reason to complain.
The new iPad Air has a 5 megapixels rear camera and HD front facing camera for Facetime and video chats. With iOS 7 the camera has received a range of updates to make the most of given megapixels.
Both New iPads are decked up with Apple’s new A7 chip and supported by M7 processor that makes everything runs even more smoothly than before. The super brain that runs these new iPads is company’s new operating system iOS 7 that had given new dimension to Apple products. The new software comes with an intelligent touch-sense that could better differentiate between a touch and a tap to minimize accidents.
iPad Air and mini both have improved battery life that can make you go for up to 10 hours without charging. Both have improved LTE band and WiFi for better coverage and Apple’s famous intelligent assistance Siri.
The price point for 16 GB iPad Air has been set for $499 (around 30,000 rupees) while iPad Mini is going to be $399(around 24,000 rupees). The company has not yet revealed its plan to launch iPads in India but we hope it won’t be long .
