While Apple fanatics prepare to get their hands on ‘Apple Watch’ this April the Cupertino giant is busy adding ‘bling’ to the Smartwatch buying process. In case, you have the most expensive Apple Watch Edition ($10,000 to 17,000) in mind Apple is all set to roll out the red carpet for you “quite literally”.
According to a Macrumors report that sites leaked Apple documents the company will have trained professional salesman to showcase its Apple Watch to consumers. The report also suggest that consumers will have to make prior appointments and pre-select desirable models in order to try it on at Apple stores.
Another report on 9to5mac suggests that luxury Apple Watch consumers will receive a VIP treatment with instant walk-in 1 hour appointments. The Apple Watch Edition will have dedicated stations with jewelry store like settings chairs and carpets to make the space feel more in tune with the luxury theme. However not every store will be set up for this as Apple Watch Edition will only be available at some selected sites.
The electronics major has also brought in sales and marketing professionals from luxury brand stores like Burberry to make the purchase experience special. The VIP treatment doesn’t stop here, every Apple Watch Edition owner will be offered a free 24X7 technical support (English) line for 2 years.
On the contrary if you are looking for affordable steel body Apple Watch or aluminum Apple Watch Sport expect the usual treatment from Apple folks. It is not clear if Apple would extend the 24X7 customer support to budget Apple Watch buyers as well. While it seems highly unlikely that Apple would provide round the clock technical assistance to all Apple Watch buyers you can always count on regular Apple support system.
Pre-orders for Apple Watch begins April 10 and the wearable will be available for purchase and pick up at selected stores. Nine countries which would be getting first shipment of Apple Watch includes Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US.
