No matter what kind of and how expensive smartphone you carry along with you, the fear of your device running out battery is always the same for everyone.
Users of smartphones have always been dreaming about something that can save every droplet of their device’s battery so they can use it at the time of emergency. And, the dream seems to have come true with a new application.
The app, exclusive available from Android device, has started doing wonders for Android users who are really happy after installing it.
Auto Pilot Mode is the dream app that has become the reason of happiness of many Android users.
The developer of the app has not done anything extraordinary but has capitalized on a simple drawback of our smartphones and tweaked it to save the juice of the batteries.
The app basically puts the smartphone into Airplane Mode when there is low reception of the signals which prevents the device from searching for network thus saves the battery life.
Auto Pilot Mode is a very lightweight tool to enable airplane mode.
In order to prevent the battery drain while searching for signal, Auto Pilot Mode will detect when the signal is below a certain threshold. Once this threshold is met, airplane mode will be turned on for a specified amount of time. After this time, airplane mode is disabled and the checking process repeats.
Here are the features of Auto Pilot Mode:
– GSM/CDMA Threshold Slider (2G Only)
– Custom wait times and airplane mode times
– Re-enable WiFi if airplane mode is enabled with WiFi on
– Re-enable Bluetooth if airplane mode is enabled with Bluetooth on
– Allow service to start on phone boot
– If on a call, prevent airplane mode from enabling regardless of the state of phone service
– Remove icon on status bar
The app at present supports Android 2.3.3 Jelly Bean or higher versions. As some more development is required, only 2G signal detection is implemented but the 3G and 4G implementation can be expected very soon.
