Apple got in a new controversy on the first day of its World Wide development conference when Whatsapp CEO Jan Koum mocked Apple for copying the chat service features in iMessage. The Cupertino based Technology major introduced new iOS 8 software for mobile and also added some new features to its popular iMessege service that show striking similarity with Whatsapp messaging.
The iMessage service now allows iPhone users to record voice messages send video messages and show the geographical location in the conversation. It is notable that all these features already exist in one of the most popular chat service WhatsApp that was recently bought by Facebook but it still function independently. Apple’s chat service iMessege only works for Apple users while WhatsApp is available at all mobile platform Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
