Nokia, now a Microsoft company has launched its first ever dual-sim smartphone dubbed as Lumia 630 for Rs 11,500 in India. The new low budget Lumia 630 will enter the Indian market on May 16 but for its single sim version may arrive next month and have a lower 10,500 price tag.
The midrange model Lumia 630 is the first smartphone to come from the Nokia powerhouse after the Software giant took full control of Nokia’s mobile business.
Nokia Lumia 630 has 4.5 inch clear black display with the resolution of 854X480p. This midranger runs on latest Windows Phone 8.1 Operating System which has a bunch of upgrades and intuitive features that make it close rival to Android.
The smartphone has Snapdragon 400 quad core 1.2 GHz processor to power the device which is coupled with 512 MB RAM. Lumia 630 comes with 8 GB Internal memory which is expandable for upto 128 GB
The camera segment of Nokia Lumia 630 is a little disappointing as it features 5 megapixels rear camera with no LED flash and no front camera. In the market where front facing camera has become a common site even in local mobiles the absence of one in Lumia 630 seem a tough loss.
As far as connectivity is concern Nokia Lumia 630 packs decent specs like 3G connectivity,Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS tracker. Riding on the fitness trend bandwagon Lumia 630 features ‘Sensor Core’ that helps to function fitness apps.
To appeal buyers Microsoft- Nokia is offering 2 months free 1 GB Data for Vodaphone consumers. The popular e-commerce website Flipkart has also announced Rs 2000 worth of e books purchase and Free streaming of Indian Premier League on NexG network.
Nokia alos announced a 4G version of Lumia 630 which is dubbed as Lumia 635 but its not clear when will it arrive in India.
