For too long Motorola’s budget bomber Moto G enjoyed a dominating position in the Indian smartphone market but Xiaomi Mi3 is hoping to change that. The new flagship of the Chinese mobile maker Xiomi has metallic body and Galaxy S4 and Nexus 5 like features at the price of Rs 14,999. Although, Xiaomi Mi3 is priced about 2,500 rupees higher than Moto G it offers so much more for the money.
Xiaomi Mi3 Review: Xiaomi Mi3 is a High End Smartphone at Low Price of 14,999
Design:
Plastic design might be a popular choice for smartphone makers but metallic body always overshadows a firm polycarbonate design and that why we give this round to Xiaomi Mi3. The Chinese mobile maker wraps its smartphone in a solid Aluminum- Magnesium chassis that looks way too cool and sturdy compare to Moto G’s plastic body.
Display:
Xiami Mi3 packs high quality flagship phone like display of IPS 1080X1920 pixels on 5 inch screen that matches most high end smartphone’s display with 441 ppi. On the other end Moto G has 4.5 inch display screen that has a resolution of 720X1280 pixels that gives 326 ppi pixels density.
Hardware/ RAM
Xiaomi Mi3 is equipped with 2.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor that is coupled with 2 GB RAM compare to 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1 GB RAM in Moto G. Although, both smartphone are missing micro SD card for expandable memory.
Xiaomi has only launched the 16 GB Xiaomi Mi3 model in India while Moto G has two variant 8 GB and 16 GB available in the market.
Software:
Moto G runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and as always Motorola gives you the advantage of getting quick updates. Xiaomi Mi3 on the other end runs on a highly tweaked version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean thought it runs all the Android Apps smoothly like any other Android model.
Camera:
Like other features Xiaomi Mi3 also dominate the camera segment with 13 Megapixels rear camera and 2 megapixels front facing camera dual flash and auto mode. While the Moto G offers mere 5 megapixels rear and 2 MP front camera along with an LED flash.
Verdict:
Moto G is one of the best available low budget smartphone but Xiaomi Mi3 is a flagship phone and that’s is an undeniable fact. In short, if you can shed little money to own a flagship why settle for a low budget smartphone.
