Google and Microsoft rivalry is well known to the technology world and their differences often come out in public. In another such incident Microsoft has blamed Google for blocking the Youtube app designed for Windows Phone.
It is noticeable that Microsoft was working for months to design a Youtube app for Windows phone but as per Google the app still doesn’t follow the guidelines given by Google. Henceforth, Google has blocked Microsoft’s access to their service server. Microsoft responded bitterly to Google’s action by taking on the search engine king on Microsoft’s blog.
In his long blog Microsoft’s David Howard stated “It seems to us that Google’s reasons for blocking our app are manufactured so that we can’t give our users the same experience Android and iPhone users are getting. The roadblocks Google has set up are impossible to overcome, and they know it.”
Raising a question over Google’s unpractical terms and conditions David also said that “We think it’s clear that Google just doesn’t want Windows Phone users to have the same experience as Android and Apple users, and that their objections are nothing other than excuses”
However, the blog also says that Microsoft is willing to work with Google to create a “Youtube App” that will work for both companies.
