Intex Technologies has increased the competition in Indian smartphone market’s low-range sector as the company released its Aqua N2 handset.
The Aqua N2 is the latest addition in the company’s Aqua range and will be available for Rs 6,990. The smartphone takes an advantage from its rivals in the same price group because of the operating system. The Aqua N2 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The phone is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz supported by 512 MB of RAM which is very good combination in a low-range phone.
With a 4 inch WVGA LCD display, the phone looks sleek with curved edges and weighs a little more than 120 grams. The Aqua N2 is equipped with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and with a flash and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.
The internal memory of the handset is set at 850 MB but it can be extended up to 32 GB with the help of a microSD card. The smartphone is juiced up by a 1,400 mAh batter that gives it about 5 hours of talk time and a stand by time of 220 hours.
Intex Aqua N2 will be getting over the air (OTA) software updates and the manufacturer is offering 5 GB of free storage space with Intex Cloud App.
Talking about the new product, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, business head for mobile business, Intex said, “Intex has devised Aqua N2 keeping in mind the need for users to have access to a variety of content without any speed or connectivity constraints. The phone provides best of features at a reasonable pricing without compromising on superlative mobility experience demanded by the users.”
The handset is going to be available in two colour varients – Black and White. Intex has already loaded the device with some of its new and cool applications that will give a new user experience to the buyers of Aqua N2.
Matrabhasha app lets users converse in 22 regional languages and Intex Play another application facilitates downloading apps, games, music and films for free for a period of one month.
