During the launch event of iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, Apple senior vice president Craig Federighi threw some light on iOS 8.1 and its new features. However, here we are going to list three new and important changes.
Apple Pay: Here comes the brand new feature from the corridors of Cupertino. The Apple Pay feature is going to change a lot many things in the field of mobile payments as Apple eyes giants like PayPal.
The feature will let the users of iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 pay directly from their mobile devices. With the help of the near field communication (NFC) chip, the users of iOS 8.1 will be able to check out with one touch and without taking their credit cards out from their pockets.
Camera Roll: When Apple launched iOS 8 for its mobile devices with new and exciting features in the Camera app. With the new features in Camera app, iOS users were able to customize, organize and edit their images, but with giving all this iOS 8 took away the Camera Roll app. The move didn’t go well with iOS users and the company has finally decided to bring the Camera Roll back with iOS 8.1.
iCloud Photo Library: With this new feature every photo and video you take will now live in iCloud. The new feature will give you the freedom to access your library from any device, anytime you want. So you can view a photo from last week or last year no matter where you are. Apple has already released the beta version of the iCloud Photo Library and the feature will be delivered to iDevices with the iOS 8.1.
