iPod Touch is not dead. It is getting a new life.
Apple is all set to upgrade iPod touch line up with latest camera and chip-set that are as up to date as latest iPhone. The refreshed iPod touch seems to follow the footprints of iPhone 6 inside and out. The device will feature metallic finish, slick design and will come in five color options pink, blue, space gray, silver and champaign gold.
The latest iPod Touch lineup also set to get boost in camera department as older 5 MP primary camera gets replaced by 8 megapixels censor. In addition, the new device will feature 1.2 MP front camera too. The device also getting 64- gig processor for snappy performance.
iPod which used to be Apple’s front runner before the arrival of iPhone recently somewhat lost its place in new glittery Apple lineup. While Apple Watch, iPad Air and iPhone get all the lime light the electronic major silently put iPod Touch in the back seat.
The popular music player that was launched 14 years ago was last updated in 2012 before recent announcement. As iPod went missing from important events and its name eloped from Apple website’s main page rumors were that Apple silently killed iPod. But within weeks of Apple Music arrival the company broke the silence on its music player and announced upgraded iPod Touch calling it “Best iPod Touch Yet”.
The upgrade will be available in all existing line up of iPod. The prices of all models will also remain the same. The standard 16 GB iPod Touch model will cost $199 while the Nano version will come at $149. The newest addition to the family 128 GB model of latest iPOD Touch will cost $399.
