LG today launched its much awaited flagship model LG G3 in India for the starting price of 47,900 and the smartphone offers that were rumored to be a part of Galaxy S5 but didn’t made it.
Design:
The new LG flagship has a plastic body that has a metallic finish that looks somewhat similar to HTC One M8 but it’s not all metal. To please music lovers LG has put powerful 1 Watt speakers with Boost amp that promises to give deep low and clear high pitch sounds. LG also says that G3’s outer coating is scratch free that may eliminate the need for protective cover.
Four times the resolution of HGTV, yes you read that right! LG G3 shatter the display competition as it packs humongous 5.5 inch screen with the never before seen resolution of 2560X1440 pixels. The smartphone sport biggest screen size in Android flagships and has massive 538 pixels density. LG G3 is a big leap forward in the display world and that’s something other Android rivals will have hard time catching up to.
Hardware:
The device packs same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Chipset as it Sony and Samsung rival and packs 2.5 GHz processor. The smartphone offers 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal model while the 32 GB variant offers 3GB RAM choice. LG G3 also has an micro SD slot for expandable memory of up to 128 GB.
Software:
LG G3 runs on latest Android 4.4.2 that has a thick layer of LG’s User Interface Optimus that has been revamped to support the new shadow and depth display on this 5.5 inch beast. The new UI lets you access important Apps without the need of going through security login.
Big screen phone are good to watch movies and games but wish we could say that about their compatibility. One such feature in LG G3 is the Knock On feature, just tap on the screen twice and it will wake up, no sliding or pushing button.
Camera:
Camera segment is one part where LG couldn’t perform better than its Android rivals as it feature 13 Megapixels rear facing camera along with 2.1 megapixels front camera. Although,LG G3 has the first Laser Auto focus camera with dual LED flash Optical Image stabilization. G3’s competitor Samsung Galaxy S5 with 16 GB primary camera and Sony Z2 with 20.7 MP primary camera win over the camera battle.
LG G3 features replaceable 3,000 mAh battery that supports wireless charging. In the connectivity segment the Smartphone features standard flagship features like 4G, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802. 11.GPS and HDMI slim port.
LG has listed the smartphone for 52,000 on its official website and its also offering freebies like rupees 6,500 worth one time screen replacements ,quick circle case worth 3,500 and discount on LG smartwatch. LG has also announced a special Big B edition of the LG G3 that will be signed by legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bacchan.
