Rumor mills have been churning stories about a Microsoft Selfie smartphone that will feature 5 megapixels front camera. Now Windows Phone Central has got hold of some leaked images that they claim to be real pictures of Windows Selfie Phone that could actually be upcoming mid-range model Nokia Lumia 730.
The Smartphone is expected to have 4.7 inch display and will run on the special version of Windows Phone 8.1 dubbed as Nokia Debian Red. Although the bright green smartphone featured in the picture looks a lot like predecessor Nokia Lumia 720 the new software setting display makes it clear that it’s a fresh model.
However the 5 megapixels is being marketed as Selfie centric phone but those who frequently use their phones for video chat would be happier with the upgrade as well.
Earlier it was reported that one of upcoming Microsoft Lumia phones has been given Code name “Superman” and it will be designed for selfie frenzies. If the rumor about big 5MP front camera comes true in Nokia Lumia 730 undoubtedly the feature is going to be the biggest selling point of this otherwise mediocre smartphone. Simultaneously it will be a huge jump from a 1.3 front camera in Lumia 720 to 5 megapixels in Lumia 730.
Although, many high and mid range Android smartphone like HTC One M8, Sony Xperia C3 and OnePlus One already feature 5 megapixels front camera the same is new to Windows Phone.
Microsoft has not announced any launch plans and price details about Nokia Lumia 730 but it is expected to be in the 15,000 plus price zone.
