Motorola India today announced the price of its brand new high end smartphone Moto X (2nd Gen) in India at Rs 31,999. The new flagship Moto model will start selling from today midnight on e-commerce major Flipkart, Motorola’s exclusive partner.
Earlier this month, Motorola launched new Moto X in Namaste Moto event that occurred the same day as the global launch of next gen Moto X. Motorola has taken an aggressive approach and listed the new Moto X for $499 in the US market which converts in around 30,000 Indian rupees.
Motorola has taken a smart move by not bombarding the Indian consumers with extra prices for brand new Flagship like Samsung and Apple but at 31,999 Moto X still cost way more than its predecessor that was introduced for 23,999. Although we can’t neglect the fact that the original Moto X was launched after half year of its global launch which explain the small price tag.
Anyway, with top of the line features like 5.2 inch (1080X1920) p full HD display, water resistant protection shield on Corning Glass display cover Moto X will be a real deal. To top the case Moto X put in 2.5 GHz Qualcomm processor, 2 GB RAM, micro SD memory slot and whopping 13 megapixels rear camera. The smartphone’s camera also offers 2 MP front camera, 4K video recording along with, dual LED flash and auto focus features.
Inspired by Moto E design the high end Moto X (Gen 2) also features 2 front speakers for music lovers. In the connectivity segment new Moto X support 4G LTE connectivity which will make it one of the few top line Smartphone to boast such feature in India. The device packs power 200mAh battery and also sport Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and audio jack.
As Samsung and Apple are still weeks away from launching Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 in Indian market Motorola couldn’t have planned a better timing. Moreover, with almost similar high end features and 20,000 less than the price of Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 and Plus Motorola will be hoping to the crush the competition in budget conscious market like India.
