Motorola the Google company has delayed the launch of its budget Smartphone Moto G in India by at least few weeks. The news came as a surprise when Motorola announced on its twitter page that the plans of Moto G launch date in India will be declared on February 5.
Earlier this month the company had hinted to launch the device India in the last week of January. Google Motorola Mobility has also suggested that it has teamed up with a corporate group to release the smartphone in the Indian market.
The tweet that the announcement about Moto G is coming on Feb 5 give the sense that the smartphone is not coming to India until mid February. Google launched its new budget smartphone Moto G in various South American developing countries in November last year. Later the company launched Moto G in US during festive season and even released Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade for US users.
Moto G is a solid piece of hardware with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor running this machine compare to a dual core processor that powers its pricey counterpart Moto X. The device comes with 8GB memory and you can get the 16 GB model for $199.
The smartphone has an average 5 megapixels camera which is good enough for digital use. It also sports an HDR mode, LED flash panorama setting and other standard mode options. Moto G also features 1.3 megapixels front facing camera for video chatting purposes.
Thanks to efficiently tweak software Google’s Moto G promises to go on the whole day without a charge. Its 2070 mAh should last through all the texting, chatting and surfing of the day but spending long hour streaming movie and gaming might change that.
Although, Google has already released Android 4.4 kitkat upgrades for Moto G in US but the company has revealed no such plans for India.
Moto G is priced at $179 (RS 11,160) in US without contract and the expected price of the model in India would be around 20,000 rupees mark. However there is no official word on the price of the smartphone in India.
