After receiving an overwhelming response for its budget model Moto G Motorola is all set to release its high end model Moto X in India. The first custom made smartphone that made headlines due to its hundreds of customization options is currently only available in US.
If you already planning the perfect color and details you’d like to get in your Moto X hold that thought and now trash it. Recent Tweets by the company give us a clue that the Moto X might not make all customization features available outside USA.
Moto X was the first smartphone that Google designed after taking over Motorola but it is reaching India after the mobile company is sold to Lenovo. First we will be looking at its common function and later the unique features that make Moto X stand out in the crowd.
The smartphone has 4.7 inch display screen with 720X1280p AMOLED resolution display. It runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 out of the box but should get latest Android 4.4 after its release in India. The device packs a hefty dual core processor and 2 GB RAM.
Moto X sports a 10 megapixels primary camera that captures quality photos and videos of 1080p quality. Its 2 mega pixels front facing camera fit right for the job. If so far Moto X sounds mediocre to you than these unique features might change your mind.
Voice Command (No touching response)
Another cool technology in the Moto X is the no touch voice response that lets you operate the phone when you have your hand full. The voice command technology continuously responds to your commands. Saying O.K. Google find me the direction will instantly start Google Map and read you the directions to your destination. This feature of Moto X looks similar to the one that exists in company’s high class model Google Glass.
Quick Capture (Flick of a twist camera)
We have seen and admired the dedicated camera buttons on many smartphones but MotoX takes photo capturing to the next level of simplification. Moto X has a motion sensor that starts the camera all by itself as you pick the phone and twist it. Seriously! with a twist. While looking at the you tube video of Quick Camera technology of Moto X it seems almost unreal. But luckily, its real and it is one thing many photo enthusiasts are going to appreciate.
X 8 Chip: (Up to 24 hours of battery life)
Moto X is powered with a newly designed X8 chip that and improve functionality of Motorola Smartphones. It is not a software like Samsung Touch Wizard neither it’s processor instead it works with the existing processor of the phone and works as a low power CPU that helps to reduce battery consumption. This genius chip is the secret behind the up to 24 hours battery life of Moto X.
Motorola would probably launch Moto X way under the iPhone 5S and Galaxy S5 cap to appeal more buyers in India and that means customization would be limited.
