Flickr the photo sharing App owned by Yahoo received major makeover for Android and iOS with added photo filters, video sharing feature and much more. With totally updated Flicker 3.0 Yahoo would be looking to beat Facebook’s Instagram.
The Flickr app now features 14 filters that could be applied before or after you click the picture. The App has also pumped up the volume in the video sharing section as it now allows users to record and share 30 second video compare to Instagram’s 15 sec ond Twitter’s Vine that allows to share 6.5 second videos.
Flicker’s Vice President Bernardo Hernandez shared on his blog post that the App will provide 1000 GB of free storage to its users and has new Auto Sync option that automatically uploads all your original quality photos to Flicker.
The most important update in Flicker 3.0 is its new image search feature which is very precise. The enhanced search feature has better understanding of scenes and objects along with date, time and place that will enable you to quickly find specific photos from your smartphone albums.
The updated Flickr App also has a treat for Photography enthusiast as it puts details of the photos up front. “We’re also helping you discover more about the photo itself with an enhanced information screen. Find out where the photo was taken and which camera and lens were used to create each shot. Bernardo Hernandez stated in his flickr blog.
Flickr users will now have enhanced sharing features and batch organization that will enable them to share Flickr photos to other social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr.
