Rumors about a successor to the greatest selling Nokia smartphone finally got an official word as the company made Nokia Lumia 525 public. The smartphone will replace Nokia’s entry level model Nokia Lumia 520 which became the greatest selling Windows smartphone.
The new entry level model form Nokai Lumia has received a lot of updates and now has 1 GB RAM and glossy changeable covers. It sports 4 inch display screen with super sensitive touch and has Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor that’s clocked at 1 GHz. Better processor and almost double RAM mean the phone is going to be a mean gaming machine for X BOX lovers.
Nokia Lumia 525 adopts the same 5 megapixels camera from its predecessor but the newly launched Nokia Smart Cam that creates action sequences, add motion blur effects. Photo editing apps like Glame me, Creative Studio and Cinemagraph that come loaded on the smartphone can also add special effects to your plain photos.
The new smartphone has a 1430 mAh battery that promises 14 days of stand up time and should be good enough to last through out the day. 2G data users can expect around 16 hours of battery while 3G users should get around 10 hours of battery life.
The model comes with 8GB of internal memory and has a micro SD slot that can support up to 64 GB memory. Nokia has already released the pics and specifications of the phone at Nokia India website but the company has not yet revealed the price and availability of the phone. At first, the company is planning to release the Nokia Lumia 525 in Singapore on 14 Dec and will be around $199.
