Rumors related to Samsung’s next big thing, the Samsung Galaxy S5, are increasing rapidly as the expected released date of one of the most awaited smartphones of the year 2014 is nearing.
The latest piece of the rumors is that Samsung is planning to take covers of the Galaxy S5 next month and not in April.
According to Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, the Korean technology company will unveil its smartphone of the year on February 23 just a day before the start of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
“Samsung Galaxy S5 launch – 18.00. Barcelona. 23 February. Price the same. Launch – end of April. Specs – u know them. New touchwiz,” Murtazin posted on his Twitter account.
Many people were thinking that Samsung will hold an exclusive event to announce the arrival of the Galaxy S5 which it always does, but the unveiling just before the MWC kick off doesn’t go well with many tech enthusiasts.
However, even if Samsung announces the Galaxy S5 on February 23, people are not going to their hands on the successor of the Galaxy S4 anywhere before mid-April as Samsung is planning to bring the device in the market only in April.
The possibility of the Samsung Galaxy S5 being shown on the day also becomes less as the Korean company is expected show off its first Tizen-based device on the same day. However, there is no official world on the release or the unveiling of the Galaxy S5 from Samsung and the plans can always be changed because of many other factors.
The Galaxy S5 is expected to come with 5.25 inch screen with 2560×1440 resolution. The device will also sport a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera. The smartphone is expected to be powered by either Snapdragon 805 or Samsung’s own Exynos 6 processor. The Galaxy S5 will run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and will be available in metal and plastic body both.
