Days before the new Galaxy S5 arrives in the global market two anti theft feature announced by Samsung in the new galaxy are buzzing the technology world. Samsung announced two new features “Find My Mobile” and “Reactivation Lock” that are going to be a part of new Galaxy S5 when it will start selling in global market from April 11th.
The first anti theft feature “Find My Mobile” not only sounds similar to Apple’s “Find My iPhone” feature but also works pretty much the same way. The online facility lets you track location of your smartphone, lock the device and clear all the data in case you lose the phone. It also sends security alerts if some tries to remove old sim card and inserts a new one.
The second security feature in Galaxy S5 is the Reactivation Lock that is designed to identify unusual attempts to reset your device. Once you activate this feature you will have to enter your login details every time you reset the device. So if your Smartphone get into wrong hands they will not be able to reset it.
Samsung will make both anti theft features available for download and would need to be activated by the users before they can work.
Apart from above mentioned safety features the new flagship model of Samsung is sports 5.1 inch screen with 1080X1920p display that is embedded in new sturdy plastic back panel.
It is the first galaxy Smartphone to come with water and dust proof design with IP 67 rating. Galaxy S5 is equipped with 16 megapixels rear camera and 2.1 MP front facing camera. It runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat and has Exynos 5422 Octa chipset with combination of two quad core processors.
The new Samsung Galaxy 5 is going to be available in India from 11 April 2014 and will cost between 51,000 to 53,000.
