Samsung is all set to launch its flip smartphone Samsung Galaxy Golden in India to cash on big during this Diwali season. Galaxy Golden is company’s high end flip phone that gives you best of both world with sensitive touch screen and typing friendly keyboard.
The flip Galaxy Golden 3.7 inch and Super AMOLED display of average 480X800 pixels resolutions. The device has 8 megapixels primary camera and 1.9 megapixels secondary camera for video chats. The smartphone is powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Samsung’s TouchWiz Software. Galaxy Golden also has FM Radio to satisfy your music craving.
Although the phone is not as big on display as Galaxy S 4 it does carry a lot of good features Samsung’s flagship model. Samsung’s life care app S health, Easy Health and business centric Optical App that lets you share business cards with the camera. Like Sumsung’s recent flagship model Galaxy Note 3 the Galaxy Golden is designed for corporate users.
According to a report on androidos.in “The Company has already imported around 1650 units of the phone in the country, which will soon reach the retail stores. We are expecting official announcement sometime next week.”
With lightweight body, touch screen and keypad the smartphone is designed for niche customers who want a smartphone that is also easy for texting and typing. While tough screen phones have become a reality in India we cannot deny the fact that soft keypad is not as ease to type as real keypads.
Recently the Samsung Fans website Sammobile has also confirmed that Samsung will be launching a range of smartphone during the festival season in India. The Galaxy Golden is probably just one model from the other new entries that would be hitting the Indian market probably next week.
The flip phone Galaxy Golden is going to be a the high end smartphone with its initial cost expected to be around 45,000 rupees. Since this is a niche model we don’t expect the model to go on sale anytime sooner. Galaxy Golden is anticipated to hit the retails stores and online retails websites in India from next week onwards.
