The Sony Xperia C is now available for orders and people will have to spend Rs 21,490 for the device.
The new Xperia handset comes with a 5 inch screen with qHD display and is powered by MediTek’s MTK6589 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz.
Sony had announced the Xperia C globally at the Mobile Asia Expo in June this year but, like always, Indian market gets the new device after a gape of some months.
The smartphone sports an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with Sony’s Exmor R censor that lets users click amazing and smooth pictures with modes like ‘Beauty’. The Beauty mode softens the skin tone in the pictures when they are taken in harsh lighting conditions.
When it comes to the front-facing camera, Xperia is surely going to disappoint its users as the company has fixed a VGA camera for video chat purpose.
Close competitors of the Xperia C, like Micromax Canvas 4, Samsung Galaxy Grand and LG Optimus G Pro Lite come with better front-facing cameras.
The Xperia C has got the Omnibalance design that Sony uses in its high-end handsets like Xperia Z. The phone is going to be available in three colours, White, Purple and Black.
Sony has given six month accidental damage protection with the handset, which will come with Airtel’s 1 GB free data usage offer for two months.
The device is going to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and will be available with 4 GB internal storage that can be extended up to 32 GB with the help of a microSD card. The phone is supported by 1 GB of RAM and juiced up by 2390 mAh battery that can give a talktime up to 14 hours.
To make the deal that offers an almost high-end smartphone for a very good price, Sony is also giving away its MDR-Z100A headphones worth Rs 1,400 for free with the Xperia C.
