After a round of rumors that Google will kill the Nexus series a new twist added to the story says that Google has dumped LG to have Nexus 6 made by former acquaintance Motorola. As per Android Police the long coming 5.9 inch display Motorola model dubbed as ‘Shamu’ could actually be Google Nexus 6.
For last few months alleged reports have been rolling that Google may end its partnership with LG to produce its flagship Google Nexus series. But no one could confirm the news by placing solid sources or images to support the report.
Although Android Police has posted a Google official document to support its claim that Google has been planning a 5.9 inch display smartphone. Apparently earlier leaks of Motorola ‘Shamu’ also talk about 5.9 inch display and Android L in the upcoming Moto that would arrive somewhere in November.

Now if we combine both reports it seems possible that perhaps Google is borrowing former associate Motorola’s expertise to build its next flagship Nexus 6.
On the other hand if we compare the screen size of 5 inch Nexus 5 and alleged 5.9 inch Nexus 6 it’s clear that the later will fall into a phablet category. Considering this fact a new theory emerges that claims that Google is planning two variants of Nexus 6 this year following the line of Apple which is also allegedly planning a phablet size iPhone 6 variant this year.
While most Android biggies have already tapped the big screen market it’s about time Google bring in some competition. Its notable that all these rumor reports do not pose any striking evidence to confirm Google Nexus 6’s design and display so perhaps only time will tell actually how the next Google flagship will look like.
