Apple finally broke the glass with the big screen iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus this year but it isn’t ditching the small screen yet. According to a recently surfaced report by a Taiwanese daily Electronics Times of Taiwan Apple is planning next generation iPhone with 4 inch screen.
For long Apple followed founder Steve Jobs idea of a compatible iPhone that can be used with one hand but it finally gave up the idea to catch up rival Samsung boosting popularity. For five generations Apple kept the screen size fixed at 3.5 inch while improving on the design elements and software and the first change appeared with iPhone 5 that boast 4 inch screen.
The same 4 inch screen size was continued with 2013 models iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. But Apple knew that it was losing grounds in the screen size race so it finally announced the big change in 2014 with 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus.
While Millions of Apple fanatics welcomed the moved it seems some Apple’s female users weren’t so thrill with the big screen that doesn’t fit comfortably in one hand. According to Macrumors the 4 inch iPhone will be launched in the second half of 2015. On a personal note, the iPhone 6 is big for me and I have to use both hands to operate it so I understand the problem many other female Apple users may be facing.
And not only female users there are plenty of people who ditched big screen smartphones for the convenience and easy handling of iPhone so Apple certainly has a market to please if it plans to bring 4 inch iPhone to life.
