Micromax has launched a low budget smartphone Bolt A075 with 5.2 inch screen to attract first time smartphone buyers who are rooting for big feature in small price. Bolt A075 offers humongous 5.2 inch display screen with the resolution of 480X800p which is almost impossible to find at Rs 6,499 price point.
The smartphone is powered with 1 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3. Micromax has decked up this low budget phone a hefty 8 Megapixels camera in the back along with a 0.3 megapixels camera at the front.
Like always Micromax did not forget to lure camera frenzy consumers with big pixels promise in a low range smartphone. Bolt A075 has 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage and also sport a micro SD slot that supports upto32 GB storage. However, it would be wise to limit you internal storage to 8 GB if you want this smartphone to work at its best.
The device has 2200 mAh battery which promises 8 hours of talk time but if you are gamer or a web surfer you’ d better carry the charger while on the go.
Given the facts that Bolt A075 runs on Android ICS which is the cheap version of Android expecting snappy performance from this smartphone would be unreasonable. However, it should do just fine if you compare it with other smartphone in the same range like Nokia Asha.
Bolt A075 also run some useful and fun apps out of the box like Hike, Spuul, Opera, M!live, Bubble x Slice Zombie Smasher and Kingsoft Office.
The Bottom Line:
You get what you pay for it is as simple as that. We can go on and on about how Micromax could have taken this phone to another level by putting a better Android but then it wouldn’t be a 6,499 rupees smartphone. Overall Bolt A075 is a big screen smartphone with poor specs that gives first time buyes an opportunity to own something big and pretty without breaking the bank.
