Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has finally announced the successor of iPhone 5 and the all new iPhone 5S has come out with features that were being talked about in many rumors in the world of technology.
The biggest surprise iPhone 5S has come with is the 64-bit mobile computing in its new A7 processor. With the introduction of 64-bit coding in its A7 system on chip (SoC) Apple has opened new frontiers for the fast-growing application market.
The features of the new iPhone match the description given by Fox News anchor Clayton Morris, who revealed iPhone5S’ hardware details on his Twitter account late last month.
“Sources are telling me the new iPhone’s A7 chip is running at about 31% faster than A6. I’m hearing it’s very fast,” Morris tweeted.
This is not all; Apple on Tuesday also introduced M7 motion-tracking co-processor that was also predicted by Morris.
“I’ve also heard there’s a separate chip devoted to motion tracking. Should be an interesting camera upgrade,” he tweeted just an hour after the previous tweet.
The M7 motion-tracking chip is going to gel well with the combination of all new and upgraded iOS 7 and GPS to track the activity of iPhone 5S users.
Health- and fitness-oriented applications will see an increase in demand as their performance will be well measured by the M7 chipset.
The camera of the new iPhone 5S has also been upgraded with a 5-element lens that comes with a 15 percent larger active sensor area with bigger pixels for higher picture quality.
Apple has also introduced ‘True Tone’, a dual flash feature to make the pictures clearer and sharper.
The new features introduced in the camera application of the iPhone 5S makes the new camera more exciting.
The iPhone 5S is going to be available in space grey, silver, white and gold colour options. When it comes to pricing, the 8-GB iPhone 5S will be available for $199 with a new two-year service contract while for 16-GB and 32-GB handsets you will have to shell out $299 and $399 respectively.
The iPhone 5S will go on sale this Friday in U.S, UK, Japan, Singapore, Canada, China, France, Germany and Australia.
