The Jelly Bean update was rolled out to both the devices this week; users fuming.
Owners of Motorola DROID Razr and DROID Razr Maxx on Verizon network, who updated to the newly released Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, now desperately want to go back to the earlier Android version.
Many of the users are now facing many issues with their updated devices but no one can go back to the earlier installed operating system. According to a Phone Arena report, when users are on call and another call comes, instead of putting one on hold both the calls get dropped. Some users report about the devices crashing without reason and some say that widgets on home screen don’t get updated.
“I got the RAZR Maxx and seriously regret hitting the update button!!!!! The freaking idiots who came up with this down-date need to be fired and banned from working with or even being near technology! They changed everything that worked fine and left the hang ups alone… Apps still freeze and lag, but a lot of the options for personalizing my phone are gone. This was four steps backwards in the cell phone world, thinking of charging up the old LG and turning off this brick. Thanks to Motorola for employee the high school dropouts that coded 4.1.2 trash, at least they’re not burglarizing my house or car,” a user says.
There is no official word from either Motorola or Verizon about the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update going berserk. However, Phone Arena managed to get some tips about Verizon’s statement.
“According to our tipster, he was told by Verizon that the carrier has received many complaints about the Android 4.1.2 update for the two handsets and has passed the word on to Motorola. The hope is that another update to repair the bugs will quickly be pushed out to owners of the phones,” the report states.
