Even after Microsoft bought mobile maker Nokia to revive its Windows Phone Operating System the rumors about an android based Nokia Normandy are far from over. A popular tech tipster evleakes has posted fresh images which are claimed to be Nokia Normandy.
The model looks like a budget Nokia smartphone and have similar design to Nokia startup Asha lineup but it sure runs on Android operating system. The smartphone sports Nokia Lumia fame bright colors which are also part of small budget Nokia Asha series.
Earlier it was rumors that Nokia will never produce Android smartphone but various tipster website always denied the news. Rumor has it that Nokia actually did not sell their whole business to Microsoft and a selected group of engineers are working on Nokia’s new projects which include a Nokia smartwatch and Normandy.
Terms like Project N and Normandy became common soon after Nokia struck the deal with Microsoft and gave away its mobile business. Microsoft made the deal in a hurry as it was going to lose the Windows Phone contract with Nokia in 2014.
Although the software giant now owns a large chunk of Nokia business but the veteran mobile major has not given up all hope just yet. The company is supposedly building a different line of products that will change Nokia for good.
The new Nokia Normandy is expected to hit the market sometime this year as per the rumors but for now it is all in cloud. Nokia has not gave any hint on its secret “Project N” but the rumor mills are keep churning new materials to make it look real.
An android brain in the solid Nokia hardware is good enough to make any Nokia franzee excited but for now just hold your horses. It’s better to not to count the chickens before they are hatched.
