Here comes Google with the young generation of Android operating system – Android One. The company finally launched the handsets running Android One in India after about three months from the day Google’s Android head Sundar Pichai announced the Android One during this year’s Google I/O.
The search engine giant unveiled the much awaited Android One smartphones in the Indian market with handset makers – Micromax, Karbonn and Spice. The new Anroid One devices are called Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO.
There is not much difference in the specifications of these three smartphones except the brand and the most important thing is that all of them are part of the budget smartphone category.
The phones are going to sport 4.5 inch screen with a resolution of 854×480 pixels and will be powered by MediaTek’s quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.3 GHz. The devices will have 1 GB of RAM with an inbuilt memory of 4 GB which can be extended till 32 GB with the help of a microSD card.
In the camera department there will be two cameras in all the devices. The primary camera is going to be of 5 megapixel with an LED flash light while the secondary or the front-facing camera is going to be of 2 megapixel.
All the devices will be juiced up by 1,700 mAh batteries and the smartphones will run stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.
Karbonn Sparkle V is going to be available in the market for Rs 6,399 while the Mircromax Canvas A1 is going be just Rs 100 costlier. Spice is going to sell its Spice Dream UNO for Rs 6,999.
