The bigger size iPhone is being speculated as Apple’s entry into the phablet market which was being dominated by Samsung, HTC and other Android supporting OEMs.
Apart from the size, rumours are also rife about the release of these two iPhones. A news report from Yahoo! Japan says that the bigger size iPhone will come somewhere in May this year but the 4.7 inch iPhone is not going to make its way to market before the fourth quarter of this year.
This is not the first time people are talking about two different versions for iPhone6 or the successor of iPhone 5S. A Chinese website C Technology citing Foxconn insiders said that there will be two iPhones coming this year — one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a 5.7-inch display.
Though the 5.7 inch iPhone is going to be released earlier to its smaller sibling but the phablet will not be coming with Apple’s new A8 SoC processor but the 64-bit A7 processor will power the new iPhone6.
We have no idea what Apple is going to call these two iPhones, but we anticipate that the phablet will be called iPhone 6and the smaller version can be called iPhone 6C.
However, there is no world from any Apple executives about the date and size of iPhone 6.
Besides the bigger display, some of the iPhone 6 rumoured features are iOS 8. The screen display will be protected by sapphire glass covering.
