BlackBerry, which has witnessed many ups and downs in last couple of years, launched a budget device in Indonesian market to gain extra momentum for the low-end market. The device is a full touch five-inch smartphone with being baptized as BlackBerry Z3.
However, according to new reports, the phone is going to head to the Indian market in next couple of weeks, and the most exciting part of the reports is the price of BlackBerry Z3. The reports suggest that the budget device will be coming with a price tag of Rs 11,000.
As the Indonesian market is not much different from the Indian market, BlackBerry’s plan of launching this exciting device in India looks to be a move of making its ground stronger in low-end markets where people do not spend much on mobile device.
People who are not much familiar with the BlackBerry Z3 should know the specifications of this budget smartphone from BlackBerry. The device is a full touch smartphone with a 5-inch display. BlackBerry Z3 is powered by Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. There is some good storage capacity with 8GB internal storage that can be extended to 32GB using a microSD card. The device has 1GB of RAM and runs BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS.
When it comes to shooters, BlackBerry Z3 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.1-megapixel front snapper.
Tech pundits feel that the expected price tag for BlackBerry Z3 that is being seen as 11,000 on the basis of its price in Malaysia (IDR 2,199,000). However, when it comes to India, taxes play a very crucial roll and that might change the price to some Rs 13, 000.
Before bringing the BlackBerry Z3 in India, the company should make sure that it has got a very tough competition from Micromax, Karbon and specially Motorola’s Moto G.
