
The wait is finally over as Google announces the much awaited LG-made Nexus 5 smartphone with Android’s latest version Android 4.4 KitKat.
The smartphone had been in rumors for a very long time and just a day back we anticipated the release of both the products and here we have all the details you want to have about the successor of the Nexus 4.
The details of Google LG Nexus 5 were already out in the open due to Google’s lack of efficiency in keeping secrets. The smartphone comes with a 4.95 inch full HD (1920×1,080 pixel) IPS display and is powered by powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26 GHz.
As we already know from the leaked images and rumored report, Nexus 5 sports an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1.3 megapixel front facing HD camera for voice chat.
It will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB variants and will come with a hefty 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone has the LTE connectivity and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
When it comes to the juice, Nexus 5 has a 2,300 mAh non-detachable battery that is going to give you a really long talk-time and standby run.
Google Nexus 5 is the first smartphone to come with Android 4.4 KitKat on board.
“Google Nexus 5 is the slimmest and fastest Nexus phone to date and puts the latest platform innovations of Android 4.4, KitKat, right in the hands of consumers,” said Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Android, Chrome and Apps at Google.
The LG Google Nexus 5 is surely going to be a big thing because of the price tag it comes with. In the US, the 16 GB version of the phone is going to be available for $349 and 32 GB version will cost $399.
The smartphone now available in US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Australia, Korea and Japan on the respective country’s Google Play stores. The Nexus 5 will be available without contract across the globe.
India will have to wait for some time to get the amazing device but it has already be listed on Indian Google Play store with price tags of Rs. 28,999 (16 GB) and Rs. 32,999 (32 GB). The availability will soon be announced.
Rubbishing the earlier rumors of five colour variants of the smartphone, Google has released the Nexus 5 in only Black and White colours.
