After creating waves in the Chinese market, HMD Global owned Nokia is all set to debut its Nokia 6 smartphone in the Indian market. According to sources, the android powered smartphone will reach India during the end of the second quarter of 2017.
This is not it from HMD Global, one of the most awaited smartphones of the year — Nokia 9 — will also said to be released in India in the third quarter. If the report from Nokia Power User is something to go by, the smartphone will have its Indian unveiling somewhere towards the end of the quarter. The report sights the availability issues of the Snapdragon 835 processors as the biggest reason of the delay in Nokia 9’s release.
The Nokia flagship smartphone — Nokia 9 — is expected to come with a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display, and a Snapdragon 835 octa core processor clocked at 2.4 GHz. The device will be supported by 6GB of RAM. When it comes to the shooters, a 22MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a 12MP front camera are expected to cater to the photography and sefie enthusiats. The device is also expected to come packed with an iris scanner, ‘OZO’ audio enhancements and some VR features. A robust battery of 3,800mAh with QuickCharge 4 support, 64/128GB of internal storage and Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box are also some of the expectations from the upcoming Nokia flagship.
Though there is no official announcement about the price or the release of Nokia 9, rumours suggest that the device will be be priced at Rs 44,999 in India and in Europe and US it will be priced at EUR and $699 respectively.
When it comes to the smaller Android smartphones from HMD in the new Nokia series, Nokia 3, 5, and 6 are said to be coming in the month of May.
The Nokia 6 is supposed to be featuring a 5.5-inch full HD display, a Snapdragon 430 octa core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz supported by 4GB RAM. The smartphone will have 64 GB of internal storage with a microSD slot that can take the maximum limit of 256 GB. The device will be powered by 3000 mAh battery. A 16 MP rear facing camera and an 8 MP front facing camera with aperture of f/2.0 will give the company a different selling point.
