Apple Watch has made waves among users but most reviews agree that battery is not really its strong suit. Reserve Strap hopes to change that with a strap for Apple Watch that provides additional 30 hours of battery power.
The Reserve Strap charges your Apple Watch using embedded batteries while it is on the wrist. If your Apple Watch is giving you promised 18 hours usage with one charge, Reserve Strap will extend it to 48 hours in total.
Reserve tried to stay close to the original design as its bands measures 25 MM wide, 3-9 MM thick and weigh 65 gm. The Strap is available for both 38MM and 42 MM sizes and its design complements the aluminum and steel frame Apple Watch.
The bracelet uses a Micro USB charger to charge the strap and the Watch at the same time. Reserve Strap claims that its bands are as waterproof as Apple Watch.
1. Using the strap on Apple Watch is more or less same as battery backup on your iPhone. “Reserve Strap uses a minimal LED indicator to let you know how much charge you are left with. When you turn the charge on or plug it in, the LED will glow either green, yellow or red indicating a high, medium or low charge respectively.”
Adding power booster bracelet to your Apple Watch is not going to be cheap though, as Reserve Strap will cost $250. Reserve Strap comes in White, Grey and Black colors and will start shipping form November 3 2015.
