
Apple has finally released its two new smartphones – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C — in the Indian market. But its Reliance that is making all the headlines because of its new bundle approach to provide expensive handsets to Indian users.
Reliance Communications is offering the two new iPhones with its new two-year contract and the exciting part of the deal is that the buyers of these phones will not have to pay any down payment.
The service provider is offering the16 GB version of iPhone 5S for Rs 2.999 per month and the 16 GB iPhone 5C for Rs 2,599 per month. The price includes the device cost, unlimited local and STD calling, SMS and 3G data.
“The company has announced two game-changing offers, Rs 2,599 per month for the iPhone 5C and Rs 2,999 per month for the iPhone 5S, both for a duration of 24 months, which include the handset cost, unlimited local and STD calls, SMSes, national roaming and 3G data,” RCOm said in a statement.
But, if you are the fan of 32GB version then you will have to shell out something for the down payment. RComm is going to give away the 32 GB versions of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C for Rs 10,992 and Rs 11,600 respectively.
The 64 GB version of iPhone 5S will be available for an upfront payment of Rs 19,992.
“There are no hidden charges or clauses, no processing fees or fine-print. The offer is completely above-board and transparent. Unlimited voice, limitless data, local and STD calls, national roaming and SMS,” RCom President and CEO (Wireless) Gurdeep Singh said about the monthly plan.
At the other hand, Bharti Airtel, which always comes up with some offers to lure new customers for iPhones, has not announced any lucrative promotional offer. However, the company says that customers can avail a discount up to 50 per cent on monthly rentals.
Apple is selling the new iPhone 5C for Rs 41,900 (16 GB) and Rs 53,500 (32 GB), whereas the iPhone 5S is available for Rs 53,500 (16 GB), Rs 63,500 (32 GB) and Rs 71,500 (64 GB).
