Taiwanese major has introduced a new entry level smartphone ASUS Zenfone C in the Indian market that features 4.5 inch screen and comes at only Rs 5,999 budget price . The latest entry in the budget segment from ASUS compete with the like of Moto E but set itself apart with typical ASUS features.
Like most entry level smartphone the new ASUS Zenfone C too sports 4.5 inch FWVGA screen with the 845X480 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 with a layer of ASUS UI on top of it. In the hardware segment the smartphone packs 1.2 GHz Intel Clover Trail Z250 processor supported with 1 GB RAM.
The device comes with 8 GB internal memory and sports a micro SD slot to expand the internal memory for up to 64 GB.However, based on the hardware of the budget device we would say expanding the internal memory for above 32 GB will slow down the device.
The smartphone offers dual SIM support along with other standard features like Bluetooth, Wi Fi connectivity, GPS and 3G connectivity. It is powered by whopping 2100 mAh battery that should last 6-8 hours normal usage.
ASUS Zenfone C hit all the right notes but despite its good set of hardware and good design the Taiwanese major might find it hard to push Moto E and Micromax’s budget model to make itself visible in the crowded budget market. The smartphone is available on e commerce major Flipkart for the price of 5,999 and soon will also be available on official ASUS website.
