Here comes another product from Facebook to make your life easier but the wall of your privacy thinner. Facebook has launched an Android dialer app that is going to replace your smartphone’s native dialer.
The Facebook Hello will enable you call your contacts whose numbers you have already saved in your address book, but at the same time users of Facebook Hello will be able to call those whose numbers are not stored in the phone memory but they have been shared with Facebook.
The convenience doesn’t end just here, if you and Facebook both don’t have a person’s number, and if the person is your Facebook friend, please feel free to call from Facebook Hello dialer as it will still connect you to the person via Facebook Messager’s voice calling option.
Apart from making calls, Facebook Hello will also let you know the information about your caller. However, this option will work with callers who have shared their information with Facebook.
Talking more about the Facebook Hello’s features, Facebook posted:
“You can also search for people and businesses on Facebook and call them with just one tap. So if a friend tells you about a new restaurant in your neighborhood, you can use Hello to find their hours, make a reservation and get directions, all without leaving the app.
Hello makes it easy to block unwanted calls. From your settings, you can block specific numbers and adjust whether you want to automatically blocks calls from commonly blocked numbers. Blocked calls go straight to voicemail and can be reviewed in your recent calls.”
