Apple Inc’s new mobile operating system – iOS 8 – is still away from its Gold Master or public release, but the jailbreak community has not stop stopped working to wait for iOS 8’s arrival.
As there are many iOS devices running on iOS 7.1.1 or iOS 7.1.2, users of these device are desperate to get an untethered jailbreak in order to enjoy the unlimited fun and tweaks offered by Cydia via iOS 7.1.2 untethered jailbreak.
After the launch of iOS 7, Evad3rs team including renowned security specialists like Pod2g, MuscleNerd and P0sixninja launched Evasi0n jailbreaking Apple’s mobile operating system. However, the cat-and-mouse game continued and Apple finally patched the Evasi0n with the launch of iOS 7.1.1.
Since then, users of iOS devices who, willingly or unwillingly, updated their devices to the iOS 7.1.x versions, are waiting for an untethered jailbreak to arrive.
When everyone had lost hopes of getting an iOS 7.1.2 untethered jailbreak after the announcement of iOS 8, the good news has come from China.
Pangu, which successfully jailbroke the iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1, is now compatible with iOS 7.1.2 as well.
Apple released the iOS 7.1.2 just two days ago with some new improvements like:
• Improves iBeacon connectivity and stability
• Fixes a bug with data transfer for some 3rd party accessories, including bar code scanners
• Corrects an issue with data protection class of Mail attachments
However, Pangu, which came to the jailbreaking scene in June with the launch of iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak, didn’t take much time to figure out Apple’s latest iOS update and released an untethered jailbreak tool for iOS 7.1.2 on both Mac as well as Windows platform.
The new Pangu iOS 7.1.2 untethered jailbreak tool supports iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini and the fifth generation iPod Touch.
