Samsung unveiled its ‘Selfi Phone’ AKA Galaxy Grand Prime in India for Rs 15,499 that boast 5 megapixels front facing camera. Galaxy Grand Prime is Samsung’s answer to rivals like Sony Xperia C3 and Nokia Lumia 730 which are Selfie friendly.
The Samsung Selfie Phone sports whopping 5 megapixels camera at the front that boast 85 degree wide lens to fit big group in the frame. Along with big front camera the Galaxy Grand Prime comes with 8 megapixels rear camera supported by LED flash.
Apart from fancy camera the Galaxy Grand Prime is pretty much our usual mid range Smartphone with average specs. Galaxy Grand Prime comes with 5 inch display with the resolution of 960X540p which is little disappointing as most mid range Smartphone now offer 720p display.
In the hardware segment Galaxy Grand Prime packs basic mid range specs like 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory. The device has micro SD slot to expand the internal memory for up to 64 GB.
Galaxy Grand Prime runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat and also runs a layer of Samsung’s homegrown UI Touch Wiz on top. The device is supports 2G and 3G network and also comes with connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0,USCB 2.0 and Wi-Fi.
The device comes with 2,600 mAh battery that promises to provide 10 hours of battery life for normal usage.
With usual mid range feature and a 5 megapixels “Selfie” friendly camera at the front Samsung would be hoping to score big with Galaxy Grand Prime.
