Motorola’s three flagship smartphones – Moto X, Moto G and Moto E – have become talk of the technology corridors because of their performance, features and price. However, there is one more thing that forces many Android fans choose Motorola’s these Moto devices over Samsung or other Android smartphones, is the timely updates being brought out by Motorola.
At the time when many of the Samsung devices are yet to get Android 4.4 KitKat or Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates, Motorola has already promised Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the users of Moto X, Moto G and recently launched budget segment entry Moto E.
In fact, Motorola has already pushed the Android 4.4.3 KitKat updates for some of the Moto X and Moto G handsets.
Moto X on American carrier T-Mobile has already started receiving the update, where as the single-SIM international version of Moto G has also started getting the OTA update of Andorid 4.4.3 KitKat.
If you are a Moto G or Moto X owner and have not yet got your hands on the sweetness of Android 4.4.3 KitKat, you don’t have to worry much as the delay is just a matter of days. However, the owners of Moto E will have to wait a little bit more as there is no confirm report coming from any corner of the world about the Moto E getting the new OS update.
Google released the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update in the first week of June, and subsequently the Nexus devices such as Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 started receiving the new version of KitKat. Motorola also didn’t take much time to make its fans happy and pretty soon announced the arrival of Android 4.4.3 KitKat on its Moto devices.
If we leave Google’s Nexus device apart, Moto G, Moto X and Moto E will be the only non-Nexus device which will get Android 4.4.3 KitKat update within a month from its launch.
Samsung is also making the Android 4.4.3 KitKat ready for its top most devices like Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but when will the OS ready for these devices it’s still not clear. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 handsets have not yet got Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
