Wait for Google products has always been long and painful as the company believes in keeping its moves secret and right. However, new rumored reports suggest that the upcoming version of Google Android, Android 4.4 KitKat will be brought out of its closet on October 15.
That’s not all; the rumors also indicate at the release of Google’s Nexus 5 smartphone will also take place along with Android 4.4 KitKat.
Fans of Nexus devices and Android were very confident that these products will be launch somewhere this year, but the October 15 launch date comes a big surprise for them.
We cannot say anything for sure right now as the reports are part of the ongoing rumors but the rumors are said to be coming from talks at the campfire at Google Launchpad. The Google Launchpad is a 15-day event to help start-ups to develop their business.
According to a CNET report, the developers at the conference were served the lashings of Key Lime Pie and bars of KitKat indicating towards the early release of the mobile operating system.
The Google Nexus 4 has already been sold out on Google play store and the search engine giant is in no mood of stocking up the inventory. The move clearly suggests that the release of Nexus 4’s successor is not too far away.
The release of Nexus 5 is also expected to come somewhere in this month as the Nexus 4 is going to complete its one year and Google can see the perfect opportunity of launching its two new products at the same time.
The Android 4.4 KitKat is not going to be a major overhauled version of Android but it will still come with many exciting and new updates and features. The update is said to be bringing in Holo Light background colour replacing the earlier Holo Dark theme.
