Apple Samsung court battle came to an end when jury ordered Samsung to pay $290 million to Apple for copying the technology from iPhones and iPads.
The trial include 13 older Samsung devices including Galaxy S III which violated Apple’s patent touch screen technology like “pinching to zoom in and out” .
Earlier this year Apple got 1.05 billion from Samsung when the jury found that 26 products of Samsung smartphone and tablet line-up were guilty of Apple’s patent infringement.

Later a jury member realized that the number had been miscalculated and Samsung owe $450 millions more to Apple for the damaging iPhone and iPad sells.
The Cupertino based electronic major claimed that Samsung killed the potential sells of iPhones and iPads by providing apple’s patent features in their Android smartphones and tablets. It alleged that Samsung has become the number one smartphone seller in the world by copying features that were invented by Apple.
On the other hand, the attorney of Samsung argued that Android operating system and unique features were the deciding factors in the sale of Samsung’s products.
However, Samsung agreed that it has copied various Apple’s patent touch screen features like “pinch for zoom, bounce back and slide”.
This legal victory much more than mere money for Apple as Samsung have been hurting Apple’s sales around the globe to emerge as number one smartphone seller. Both companies fight to claim the number one position in the world’s smartphone market which now values whopping $300 billion.
Come March next year and Apple and Samsung are set to meet in the court once again for a much bigger legal battle that involves fresh copy right violation.
Apple, the makers of iPhone and iPad has a list of new Samsung devices which come under the scanner for copying latest technology developed by Apple’s master minds.
