Finally something good came out of the Google-Lenovo mobile deal as Motorola’s low budget smartphone Moto G is launched in India for good price of 12,999. The launch of the smartphone was scheduled January but it was delayed because as Google was preparing to handover Motorola business to Lenovo.
Moto G was launched in North American countries for $179 in November last year but Tech Gurus expected it to cost near 18-20000 mark in India. However, thanks to the Google- Lenovo deal for Motorola mobile business the mid budget mobile is launched at much lower cost.
Moto G is now available for order at popular e-commerce retailer Flipkart.com and it is expected to reach other retailer in coming weeks.
Moto G Features:
Moto G is a solid piece of hardware with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor running this machine compare to a dual core processor that powers its pricey counterpart Moto X. The device comes with 8GB memory and you can upgrade to 16 GB model which is available for Rs14,499.
The smartphone has an average 5 megapixels camera which is good enough for digital use. It also sports an HDR mode, LED flash panorama setting and other standard mode options. Moto G also features 1.3 megapixels front facing camera for video chatting purposes.
Thanks to efficiently tweak software Moto G promises to go on the whole day with just one charge. Its 2070 mAh should last through all the texting, chatting and surfing of the day but spending long hour streaming movie and gaming might change that. Moto G has received lots of positive feedback for its ability to provide solid hardware and world class Android OS at very affordable price.
Android 4.4 KitKat upgrades for Moto G is already available in US but the company has revealed no such plans for India.
